Orawan says M1 Prep Course successful

"In just two days, you have came out from your shell and have shown your hidden talents and your English speaking skills. Imagine, how much more could we see in you after one year in the EP Program in this school..." Thus spoke Ajarn Orawan Tagong, head of the English Program in Chalermkwansatree during the closing ceremonies of the two-day M1 Preparation Course, May 15 at the EP Hall.

A total of 33 students who successfully passed the screening as First Year students in CHS School - English Program joined the said preparation course. The 2nd Year and 3rd Year EP students were also present to serve as staff.

During the closing ceremonies, each of the group headed by their teachers presented what they learned during the two-day event. The students of Teacher Andy presented their movie while Teacher Susan and her students showed how to make "Lemon Slice". Teacher Bevz and Teacher Leah's students excellently delivered their skit while Teacher Enzo's models received thunderous applause on stage and Teacher Steve's student did a very good job in presenting her art work to everybody.

Ajarn Orawan ended her speech by congratulating the M1 students for a job well-done and thanking the EP staff for the cooperation that brought tremendous success to CHS-EP's first activity of the year.

CHS-EP welcomes new mentors

In its aspiration to better equip its students with quality education, Chalermkwansatree School-English Program Department has just added new mentors to its energetic team of teachers who will carry out the school's vision and objectives for the academic year 2012-2013.

Ms. Susan Ellison is from New Zealand but was born on March 31 in United Kingdom. Presently, she holds passports of both countries. She graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics at the University of York, England.   

She started working as an accountant in 1983 in London. After five years, she moved to York for a year then decided to go to New Zealand and work as an accountant until 2008. She also made a career out of teaching English to people migrating to New Zealand for several years. 

Ms. Susan loves to travel with her husband during her holidays. She has been to Australia, Singapore, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico, and America among many other countries. Aside from traveling, she also enjoys cooking, walking in the countryside and reading.   

Mr. Lorenzo Caballes, Jr. has worked as a teacher for six years in the Philippines before he decided to move to Thailand in 2010. For the next two years, he worked as a Foreign Language Teacher at Buddhachinnaraj Pittaya School here in Phitsanulok while doing some extra classes at PLS and ECC. 

Mr. Enzo graduated at Philippine Normal University (Agusan Campus) with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in English. While teaching in the Philippines, he was very active in campus journalism and was awarded as an  Outstanding School Paper Adviser of the Philippines during the National Schools Press Conference in February 2010. 

Aside from watching movies, he also spends his free time reading, surfing the internet, and blogging. He blogs about his travels at TripZone, his latest entertainment finds in The MAGIC in Me and his personal thoughts and experiences in his Enzo's Point.  

Mr. Steve Jones is from United Kingdom but has spent many years of his life in several countries such as Australia, Nepal, India and Europe. He graduated with a degree in Humanities in Hugh Baird, London.

Before coming here in Chalermkwansatree School, Mr. Steve has worked in a College for Adults in Paris, France. He also embarked a career in Export Business with Indian Fabrics. Traveling is his passion. Aside from that, he is also into French Literature and French Music.

CHS-EP to hold Preparation Course


Chalermkwansatree School - English Program of Phitsanulok, Thailand will have its Preparation Course for the incoming Matayom 1 students, May 14-15 at Chalermkwansatree School - English Program Meeting Hall.

The two-day course aims to orient the new students with the English Program curriculum; prepare the new students for the forthcoming academic year; and acquaint the new students with their foreign teachers who will be teaching them English, Mathematics, Science, Computer, and Health and Physical Education for the whole academic year of 2012.

Picture Dictation, Movie Script Writing, Cooking Activity, Modelling Activity are just some of the series of activities that the teachers prepared for the students aside from the fun games, songs and dances that they will have to learn and enjoy. 

The dynamic teachers who will be facilitating the two-day preparation course include: Ajarn Por, Ajarn Wanpen, Ajarn Sarah (Thai), Teacher Leah, Teacher Andy, Teacher Bevz, Teacher Enzo (Filipino), Teacher Susan and Teacher Stephen (English) who will be headed by the CHS-EP Department Head, Ajarn Orawan Tagong.
